Eimear completed her Bachelors in Chemistry at University College Cork. In her third year she undertook a placement at Zurich School of Applied Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rainer Riedl. Eimear then pursued a PhD in organic and pharmaceutical chemistry under the guidance of Dr Gerard McGlacken at University College Cork. Following her PhD,  she joined the DJJ Group in 2024 as a Postdoctoral Researcher.
