David has been awarded €15,000 from the Strategic Alignment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement fund to lead the PhotoCAT project. PhotoCAT will involve the development of new photocatalysis experiments and their subsequent introduction to the Undergraduate curriculum at Cork. A key feature of this project will be the recruitment of students as project partners and the introduction of experimental design via Bayesian optimization using the open source platform EDBO+ .

This project will be run in collaboration with Professor Ger McGlacken and his team.
