David and Ger McGlacken co-chaired the recent RSC Organic Section Regional Event which was held in Cork on June 12th. Speakers from TCD, UCD, QUB, UG, MU, Pfizer PDC and the RSCI delivered invited talks and we heard a plenary lecture from Becky Greenaway (Imperial) on automated synthesis.
David gave a talk on the group's recent work on cross-dehydrogenative coupling in organophosphorus chemistry.
